Kolar Arms to Sponsor SCTP again in 2019

The Scholastic Clay Target Program (SCTP) would like to recognize its continued sponsorship by Kolar Arms of Racine, WI in support of the youth shooting sports!

Kolar, a Wisconsin based manufacturer of high-quality shotguns continues to support the SCTP with a donation of one of their finest shotguns, The Kolar “Low Max” over/under. This shotgun will be available in either a sporting/skeet model or a trap model. The donation is estimated at roughly $12,000. The Kolar shotgun will be used as part of the 2019 SCTP National Raffle and the winner will be drawn at the SCTP National Championships in July.

“Kolar is absolutely delighted to sponsor the SCTP again in 2019 with a fully American made shotgun”, stated Jeff Mainland, CEO of Kolar Arms. “SCTP has demonstrated its ability to use a donation and support not only the source, but support its teams and program as well! Congratulations to the SCTP National Raffle Winner!

Congratulations to Wayne Werner, from Schaller, Iowa who won a Kolar Low Max over/under Shotgun in the 2018 Scholastic Clay Target Program (SCTP) National Raffle.

Wayne’s purchased his ticket, one of approximately 8,000 tickets sold by 65-70 SCTP teams across the country from his grandson Allen, an SCTP Trap Team member.

Our special thanks to Kolar Arms and all of our SCTP teams that worked so hard to sell this year’s raffle tickets.

2018 Nationals Gun Winners

The 2018 Scholastic Clay Target Program and Scholastic Action Shooting Program National championships had many winners, both on and off the range! A total of 70 firearms were awarded during nationals and below are some of the highlights. Congratulations to everyone who participated and supported the SCTP and SASP!

Kolar Raffle Winner and Team Endowment Recipients

Congratulations to Jerry Baumann of Traverse City, Michigan, who was drawn as winner of a Kolar Max over/under shotgun during the 2015 National Team Championships in Sparta.

KolarMr. Baumann’s name was drawn and announced on July 17 during the Last Competitor Standing competition, and SCTP National Director Tom Wondrash was able to reach the lucky winner by phone while the crowd watched.

The raffle drawing culminated a fundraising program that earned money and endowment contributions for teams who sold the raffle tickets, as well as funds for SCTP. The top 5 ticket-selling teams also received bonus endowment awards for their MidwayUSA Foundation accounts as follows:

    $5,000 – Burlington High School – 679 tickets

    $4,000 – Beloit Izaak Walton – 432 tickets

    $3,000 – Shooting Tigers – 378 tickets

    $1,500 – tie – Hillsdale College – 300 tickets

    $1,500 – tie – River Falls – 300 tickets

Thank you to our sponsor, Kolar, for their generous donation of the shotgun, and kudos to teams who padded their endowment accounts by selling the raffle tickets.

Kolar Announces SCTP Sponsorship

Kolar Arms has announced its support and sponsorship of the Scholastic Clay Target Program (SCTP) for the 2015 shooting season.

“We are extremely excited to be part of the program promoting the shooting sports through our junior shooters,” stated John Fournier, Kolar Arms’ Director of Marketing. “We are looking forward to this great relationship and helping the SCTP in their endeavors.”

As a result of this sponsorship, some lucky person will win a Kolar Max Low Profile Over/Under shotgun. The winner will be able to exchange the barrels for a different set of either skeet or sporting clays barrels (at no charge) or can upgrade to a trap combo set for an additional cost. The winner will be drawn from tickets sold by teams across the country, benefiting both the SCTP and those teams.

“We are very happy to have Kolar Arms joining the lengthy list of industry supporters of the SCTP,” claimed Tom Wondrash, SCTP National Director. “Kolar is a great fit into our program. This will certainly help support not only the SCTP, but also our teams and athletes.”

In further support of SCTP, Kolar, based in Racine, Wisconsin, will also be attending the SCTP’s National Championships being held July 13-18 in Sparta, Illinois. This will add to the large number of industry representatives making their presence and support of SCTP and youth shooting felt this summer.
