Southwestern International Regional

As interest in the International clay target sports grows among youth athletes, the SCTP’s series of regional events for international skeet and trap is giving experience and opportunities for Olympic hopefuls. Athletes from four different SCTP teams traveled to Tuscon Trap and Skeet to compete in International Trap with 125 qualification targets and two Finals.
Parents and athletes are turning to shooting sports as an alternative activity for youth development, with the game paying no favor to who is the strongest or fastest. This was apparent at the Southwestern International Regional, with six of the sixteen athletes being female.
